Goals

Develop a presentation of mockups that showcased both brand identity, wireframes, prototype and developed webpages for our app, Pinpal, while following the Waterfall methodology.

Planning

We started this project off by branching from a previous already existing idea of an app from Emily.

The app was Pinpal, a mobile app that helps travelers discover, plan local events and connect with like-minded people.

Since we already had a lot of the basic starting points like mid-fidelity wireframes, basic style guide, and UX elements, this gave us a good foundation for the project moving forward. I started this project by revising the user flow and making it into one continuous flow focusing on the steps of signing up for an event. As this was the targeted outcome for the app.

Wireframes

Wireframes were created to visualize the layout and user flow before development. These low-fidelity wireframes helped define the structure of each page and how users would move through the app. The wireframes focused on simplicity, clear navigation, and logical task flow. Designing wireframes early helped identify usability issues and ensured that the final design stayed user-centered and organized.

Reflection

As a group we completed all our required deliverables along as following the Waterfall methodology. Our group enjoyed this methodology because most task were individually completed with a specific timeline to follow, making it easy to schedule workloads. Areas that could have been improved were the distribution of workload, since some weeks some members would be buried while others didn't have much on their plate.
