Overview
This project explores the contrast between my present reality and my future goals. The image is divided into two halves: one representing working to support myself today, and the other representing studying to build a better future. By combining both scenes into a single image, I wanted to visually communicate the balance many students experience between responsibility and ambition. The quotes help guide the viewer’s understanding of the story and reinforce the idea of sacrifice and long-term goals.

Process
I started by developing a clear concept before shooting or editing any images. Once the idea was finalized, I planned what images were needed, the locations, and the timing. I captured photos in two different environments that represented work and study.
In Photoshop, I combined both images into one composition using masking and alignment techniques. I carefully matched lighting, perspective, and color so the split felt intentional and clean. Text elements were added last, using speech bubbles and quotes to clearly communicate the message. Final adjustments were made using color correction and minor retouching to create a cohesive final image.
Final Project
Reflection
This project helped me understand the importance of planning before starting any creative work. Having a strong concept made the editing process more efficient and focused. I also learned how small details, like lighting and color consistency, can greatly impact the realism of a composite image. Overall, this project reflects my personal journey and growth, both creatively and academically, and pushed me to think more intentionally about storytelling through visual design.
